Schools

Our national school programme has been co-designed with teachers and is delivered by practising designers.

From games design to fashion and from architecture to product design, our schools programme encourages pupils and teachers to be curious, ask questions and solve problems.

Young People

Our Young People’s Collective meets weekly to co-design programmes for 14-24 year olds, develop new design-related skills and represent young people's voices throughout the museum.

Families

Our programme encourages you and your family to be curious about design together.

Fun, friendly and sometimes mischievous, our family workshops and events will be an exciting way to explore design.

Communities

Providing an enjoyable and accessible introduction to design is fundamental to our Communities programme.

This programme helps support equal access for all audiences. Placing a strong emphasis on co-design, wellbeing and inclusion, we work with people from a range of backgrounds, interests and needs, including visitors who are visually impaired, deaf and hard of hearing or have additional support needs.

Community workshops and events are held both inside the museum and across the local area.

Contact communities@vandadundee.org to find out more.

Community Garden

Just across the road from the museum you can also visit the V&A Dundee Community Garden, located on the corner of Slessor Gardens. Opened in 2017, the garden grew out of a community project exploring how the design process can benefit mental health.

Designer in Residence

Our residency programme supports designers to develop new skills, take risks, undertake research and create exciting, new work influenced by our collection, building and themes.
